Biowet Puławy Sp. z o.o. is the only producer in Poland of varroa-control medicinal products for bees. The company holds GMP certificates authorizing the manufacture of non-sterile products in the form of tablets and strips for hanging in the hive. Products for bees have been manufactured for over 40 years. The first batches of smoldering tablets containing the active substance amitraz were produced in 1983. The product was used both for treatment and for diagnosing the level of infestation by the parasite Varroa destructor, enabling effective assessment and control of bee colony infestation. In the following years, responding to the needs of Polish beekeeping, Biowet Puławy Sp. z o.o. expanded its offer with preparations in the form of strips for hanging in the hive. Thanks to continuous technological development and research into product effectiveness, Biowet’s products remain a reliable tool in the fight against varroosis and in maintaining the health of bee colonies.
